Ellie Goulding’s eye-catching dress has caught the attention of X Factor fans – but not necessarily for the right reasons.

As the Burn singer took to the stage on the X Factor results show tonight, her gold dress – which was split up to the armpit on each side – got most of the attention, with many viewers taking to Twitter to share their views.
One Twitter user, Izzy Clements, wrote: ‘Ellie goulding definitely CANNOT pull off this dress!!!!!!’
Anoter wrote: ‘I don’t know what’s worse between Ellie Goulding’s singing or that dress she’s wearing’.

Bethany added: ‘What an earth is ellie goulding wearing on xfactor’.
Alana was as unimpressed with Ellie’s voice as she was with her outfit, writing: ‘Good lord. Ellie Goulding sounds and looks awful.’
And Duncan was equally disparaging, saying: ‘Hi, I’m Ellie Goulding & I’m gonna wear an outrageous outfit to try cover up that I cant sing and I’m miming on a TV singing contest.’
