Niall Horan professed his love for Katy Perry when tweeting a marriage proposal at the Roar singer.
Admittedly the Twitter proposal was a joke, but Katy was the one to secure Niall's place in One Direction when she was a guest judge on the X Factor so you never know.
Except we do because Katy is still inexplicably dating John Mayer, and is apparently now putting away the latex for a nice twin set with pearls. Oh the HORROR.
The blondest member of the world's hottest boy band sent the tweet to Perry after her performance of Roar on Sunday's X Factor results show.
"I love you @katyperry! Thank you! Ps. Will u marry me?" wrote the 20-year-old.
Perhaps Niall was hoping to forget the memories of his - wait for it - 27 DAY love affair with Ellie Goulding? After the split Goulding said: "All men are c**p - at least the ones I've been seeing lately.
"I find a lot of men, especially young men, project the problems they had with previous girlfriends on to me, which is really unfair."
That'd be a burn (burn burn burn) then.
