Rixton Spoofs Katy Perry, Robin Thicke in New 'Make Out' Teasers: Exclusive

Rixton Spoofs Katy Perry, Robin Thicke in New 'Make Out' Teasers: Exclusive

YouTube specialists take on "Roar" and "Blurred Lines" in their debut clip.

Rixton, a U.K. pop-rock group known primarily for its successful YouTube covers, is unveiling its original song "Make Out" with a music video that will satirize a whole bunch of established mainstream artists upon its Oct. 22 release. Check out the band's latest "Make Out" video teasers -- this time riffing on Katy Perry and Robin Thicke hits -- premiering exclusively on Billboard.com:
After broadcasting covers of songs by Taylor Swift, Chris Brown and R. Kelly on YouTube, Rixton signed to School Boy/Giant Little Man/Interscope Records and recorded "Make Out" with pop production wizards Wallpaper. and Benny Blanco. Along with Perry's "Roar" clip and Thicke's "Blurred Lines" visual, Rixton also opted to spoof artists like Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus -- in the style of Blink-182's "All The Small Things" clip -- for their debut music video.
"The song itself is very tongue-in-cheek, so we wanted the video to match it perfectly," says Jake Roche, who composes Rixton along with Charley Bagnell, Lewi Morgan and Danny Wilkin. "We all pretty much spent the day naked and cross-dressed at least twice each. Just like a normal Saturday, really."
