Orlando opened up about his separation from Miranda during an interview with Katie Couric that will air on Nov. 1, saying, ‘We’re going to be in each other’s lives for the rest of our lives.’
Orlando Bloom has impressed us all with his healthy, positive outlook on his split from his wife, Miranda Kerr. The British actor shared some of the reasons he and Miranda will continue to “love and support” each other despite their separation — the main one being their adorable 2-year-old son, Flynn — in a revealing new interview on Katie Couric‘s show, Katie. “We love each other, we’re a family,” he tells Katie. ”We’re going to be in each other’s lives for the rest of our lives. There’s no question for the sake of our son and everything else, we’re going to support one another and love each other as parents to Flynn.”
“And you know,” he adds wisely, “life doesn’t always works out exactly as we plan or hope for but fortunately we’re both… we’re adults. We love and care about each other and we, most of all, love our son.”
It’s so easy to lose track of what’s important during a split, so we’re glad Orlando and Miranda are making Flynn their top priority.

Miranda, 30, and Orlando, 36, officially separated on Oct. 24 after three years of marriage.Miranda and Orlando’s rep confirmed their split to E!, saying, “In a joint statement, Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr have announced that they have been amicably separated for the past few months. After six years together, they have recently decided to formalize their separation. Despite this being the end of their marriage, they love, support and respect each other as both parents of their son and as family.”
Orlando opened up to TMZ about his split on Oct. 25, saying, “We’re not friends, we’re a family.”
It seems he and Miranda are staying true to their word as on Oct. 26, they were seen strolling the streets of New York arm-in-arm with their son, Flynn.
