Taylor Swift and Snow Patrol star Gary Lightbody fell foul of critical X Factor fans as they performed on the latest live results show.
The pair took to the stage wearing all black outfits and sang their new duet ballad The Last Time – and it seems Taylor’s chic get-up wasn’t to the taste of many X Factor viewers.
One, Ally, tweeted: ‘Taylor swift looks like she’s goin to muck the horses out or sutin.’
‘What was taylor swift wearing on the x factor? Was she going to a funeral,’ added Alex.
Outfits aside, it seems that the duo’s performance divided opinion, with one viewer writing: ‘What a weird combination that was Taylor swift and Gary lightbody hahaha.’
‘I vote Taylor Swift and Gary Lightbody in the bottom two after that performance #XFactor,’ quipped Nes.
However, not everyone was disappointed by the performance.
One fan gushed: ‘Amazing, simply amazing!!!’ while another wrote that the performance: ‘gives me goosebumps. Can feel the emotion in every word’.
